Cisco XML Authentication Service

Access the XML API on Cisco IP phones connected to Asterisk and other third-party IP PBXs, using Active Directory Authentication

The XML API built into most recent Cisco IP Phones* (SPA300, SPA500, 7900, 6900, 8900 and 9900 series) depends on a proprietary authentication protocol which is only implemented by Cisco IP PBXs, such as the UC320, UC500 series, Unified Communications Manager Express and Unified Communications Manager.

Our XML authentication service implements this protocol to enable you to access IP phones' XML API when used with other IP PBXs. You can also use our authentication service with Cisco IP PBXs authenticate with Active Directory instead of PBX user accounts.

*Note that note all phones in these series support XML services. Refer to Cisco product page for the series to determine the supported phones. In general, most recent 7900 series models, and higher-end models in the SPA300 and SPA500 series, and all models in the 8900 and 9900 series support XML services.
